Ongoing Maintenance Not Being Done (cont.)
These are yearly, ongoing issues, they don’t include long-term things that need budgeted funds. Currently if an amenity is damaged or falls into disrepair, the City of Calgary is not responsible to maintain or repair them.

All the properties of Royal Oak Estates have a restrictive covenant on them that allows the Homeowners Association to collect fees for the maintenance and beautification of the community.

These fees have never been collected.

In a community the size of Royal Oak Estates, with Enhanced Maintenance, the community should be spending approximately $100,000 yearly to maintain it’s public spaces.

Currently nothing is being spent. The only maintenance is City of Calgary class “C”.
